1,120 virus sufferers currently in Lower Austria – Lower Austria

Throughout Austria, the official dashboard of the Ministry of Health Wednesday morning led for the first time more women (51 percent) than men (49 percent) to the cases of illness. Most of those who tested positive were in the age group 45 to 54 years (3,008), followed by the group 55 to 64 years (2,411).

For Lower Austria, 1,120 people currently suffering from the coronavirus were reported on Wednesday morning.

According to the information portal of the Ministry of Health, the number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Lower Austria rose by 44 compared to the previous day to 2,398 by Wednesday morning. According to the country’s medical staff, 16,188 tests have been carried out so far. 1,315 patients have recovered. 71 people died in connection with Covid 19 diseases.

By district, the most confirmed positive cases were in Amstetten (276), St. Pölten (246), Neunkirchen (171), Melk (157) and Mödling (154). This was followed by Korneuburg (147), Tulln (145), Krems (133), Baden (123), Mistelbach (114), Scheibbs (100), St. Pölten-Stadt (78), Bruck a.d. Leitha (73), Gänserndorf (72), Zwettl (66), Waidhofen a.d. Thaya (65), Wiener Neustadt (62), Lilienfeld (42), Horn (40), the cities of Wiener Neustadt (39) and Krems (33), the Hollabrunn district (28), Waidhofen a.d. Ybbs-Stadt (22) and the district of Gmünd (12).
