19 students in two school buses injured in accident in Maryland

According to officials from the Prince George County Fire Department, no one has sustained life-threatening injuries. The accident involved two buses along Woodward Road and Victoria Drive, officials said. We did not know immediately what had caused the accident. It remains under investigation. According to officials, at least 30 students were in the buses and many of them were going well enough to walk to their school, the James Madison Middle School, located near the crash site. Emergency personnel assessed the students there, according to a Twitter message from Mark Brady, spokesman for the Prince George County Fire. Of the students, 19 were reported to have been injured and taken to local hospitals by rescuers or their parents. One of the bus drivers was slightly injured and taken to a hospital in the area.
