Head of the East Java Provincial Health Office, Dr. Dr. Erwin Astha Triyono SpPD KPTI said there were an additional 7 new patients whose Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) examination results from the Institute of Tropical Disease (ITS) Airlangga University (Unair) Surabaya just came out yesterday (14/1).
“Of the seven most recent confirmed patients, five were from Surabaya, including TGO, 4 years old, male; FP, 32 years old female; AR, 4 years old, male; QIZ, 2 years old, female; FI, 61 years old. , women,” said Erwin in Surabaya, Saturday (15/1/2022).
“Then, one person from Malang city, namely MA, 40 years old, male and one person from Malang district, namely LI, 29 years old, female.” said Erwin.
Erwin appealed to the public to always be disciplined in implementing health protocols to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. Erwin also emphasized the importance of vaccination.
“So I reiterate to continue to carry out the 6M health protocol in a disciplined manner and carry out full-dose vaccinations to protect ourselves and our common good,” he said.
