A child of one year was Monday between life and death in the Loiret after spending more than two hours in a vehicle Sunday, while the temperature was around 30 degrees. He was hospitalized and the parents placed in police custody.
According to BFMTV who reveals the case, the parents were celebrating the child's birthday when the grandparents arrived and alerted them that he was in the car. According to the first reported items, they would have simply forgotten when returning from a race.

The child was rushed to hospital. His prognosis was still alive today. The custody of the parents was lifted for "humanitarian" reasons to allow them to stay at the bedside of their child. They could, however, be reproached for "abandonment of a minor", punishable by seven years of imprisonment and a fine of 100,000 euros. The unintentional aspect that seems to evoke the first elements should however largely play in this affair.
Several similar cases have been recorded in recent weeks during heat waves and heat waves that affected France. On June 25, the police had to break the window of a car on a parking lot of a supermarket in the Aisne to get out a six-month-old infant. Similar events involving children aged one and five occurred a few days later in the Yvelines.
The authorities regularly point out that children and infants should never be left in direct sunlight in a car, where the temperature can climb more than one degree per minute from the outside.
