A case of COVID-19 at a McDonald’s in Drummondville

COVID-19. A McDonald’s restaurant, located at the Walmart of the Drummondville branch, closed its doors on Friday evening after the discovery of a positive result for COVID-19 in one of its employees.

As a measure of extreme caution, the decision was taken to immediately close the restaurant for a thorough cleaning and sanitation by a certified third party. The branch is working to reopen as quickly and safely as possible and says it is committed to doing its part to help communities.

Via a statement, the company asked all team members who may have been in close contact with the employee to go into voluntary isolation until further information is communicated. The employee’s last shift was Sunday, October 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Any customer who has frequented the restaurant October 11 is urged to follow the guidelines of public health experts by visiting the www.quebec.ca/sante/problemes-de-sante/a-z/coronavirus-2019/
