A tactile living room table, for board game lovers

A Kickstarter campaign was launched to fund the project.

The crowdfunding platform Kickstarter seems to be a place of choice for all board game enthusiasts. In addition to board games of all kinds that manage to collect crazy sums, there are also pieces of furniture that are also very successful on the site. This time around, it’s about a touch-sensitive living room table that lets you play dozens of Hasbro board games. No need to take out your game boxes, everything is integrated into the table.

Arcade1U, a company specializing in arcade machines, has joined forces with Hasbro to develop this connected board game table. Because yes, in the long term, the table will indeed be able to connect to the wifi network and will offer to download additional games via a virtual board game store. In the meantime, the table already offers fifty Hasbro games including the classics Scrabble, Monopoly or Naval Battle, but also more recent games like Pandemic and Ticket to Ride. It is also planned that independent games can be integrated into the blind of the Infinity table.

Available in two sizes (24 ” and 32 ”), the table is equipped with an HD touch screen with haptic feedback. It is resistant to liquids and shocks. It also includes two speakers and removable feet which allows it to be easily transportable.

The concept seems to particularly appeal to gamers since the crowdfunding campaign reached $ 600,000 in 24 hours on Kickstarter. The project, whose initial objective was $ 50,000, is therefore funded. If you want to get your Infinity table, you have until the end of November to participate, but it will cost $ 499 for it. The first deliveries are scheduled for March 2021 “in certain countries”, without further delivery.
