Zaandam

The A7 at the Zaandam junction in the direction of Zaanstad was closed for a large part of the day on Thursday due to a tilted truck. The road here was full of cocoa beans.

The truck overturned for unknown reasons. There were no injuries.

The cleanup lasted well into the afternoon. Not only did the lost cargo have to be cleaned up, there was also damage to the road surface.

Around a quarter to five, Rijkswaterstaat was able to report that the road had been reopened. The truck was already on its wheels at 2 p.m., but only then could it be started to repair the asphalt damage.
