The police were on duty with a significant number. One person reported that they saw a man in the Zurich train station board the train in the direction of Brugg, put his backpack on a seat and get off again. He did not return.

Initially, there was no further information on the contents of the backpack. After the end of the police operation, spokeswoman Winkler gave the all-clear around 9 p.m.: The content was unsuspicious. The police are still looking for the man and are conducting further investigations, said Winkler. The law enforcement agencies ask witnesses who can provide information about the man and the backpack to contact the
Aargau canton police, 062 835 81 81, to report.

The closure of the station resulted in delays and train cancellations, as reported by the rail traffic information. After the station was cleared, the situation normalized.
