Presidents determine to join the contingency plan of the State Government.
All the preventive measures applied in the municipalities represent the only medicine that currently exists against COVID-19, said Governor Silvano Aureoles Conejo.
“Coordination between the state and the municipalities is extremely important to follow the health recommendations, to prevent the number of people infected with COVID-19 from increasing in Michoacán,” he said.
In a meeting with the municipal presidents of the health jurisdiction of Apatzingán, Aureoles Conejo invited them to reinforce awareness campaigns among its inhabitants, mainly on the importance of staying home and avoiding the spread of contagion.
Like the rest of the municipal presidents of the state, the state president responded to the doubts and concerns of the mayors of Tierra Caliente, to whom he confirmed his commitment to continue working together to reactivate the economy of the regions after the contingency.
“As governments we have a commitment to support them in everything they need at this time, so from the State Government we have developed mechanisms to deal with the economic effects that the pandemic will bring,” he explained.
For its part, the Ministry of Health, Diana Carpio Ríos, announced to the councilors the different communication channels to know how to deal with COVID-19.
“We have channels where the necessary information is provided to deal with the coronavirus. On the page of the State Government, there is a special area where the population can follow a series of steps to find out if they are infected,” he said.
Carpio Ríos highlighted to the municipal presidents of the Apatzingán Health Jurisdiction, that 80 percent of infected people will be cured at home following the recommendations given by doctors, therefore the need to follow health instructions by staff of health.
The municipal president of Apatzingán, José Luis Cruz Lucatero, thanked the Governor for the approach and support that he has shown to the municipalities to face COVID-19, by maintaining continuous contact to resolve all their doubts.
“As municipalities we have followed the instructions given to us by the State Government, such as avoiding events where a large number of people gather, such as parties and jaripeos,” he stressed.
The municipal presidents of Tumbiscatío, Arteaga, Múgica, Aguililla and Parácuaro also participated in the meeting.
