This first instance of enabling border crossings was carried out in a reduced manner, allowing entry to Paraguay only until 2:00 p.m.

Paraguayan businesswoman Linda Taiyen, highlighted on this first day that “from early on we already had a large circulation of vehicles, of course vehicles also with a large number of people. And of course everyone with the corresponding mask ”.

In this framework, prevention and awareness tasks had to be intensified, since the large flow of people also represents an increase in the possibilities of transmission of the coronavirus.

In this regard, Taiyen explained that “together with authorities from the Ministry of Public Health and a representative from the Ministry of Labor, we went to verify the shops, the way in which they have adapted the entire system and the required protocols.”

The businesswoman also expressed that “it was basically a normal day for us who are from here. Obviously with a slightly more active presence of the Navy, the National Navy. Customs did its job, of course migrations too. And the rest was given in a normal way, and at two in the afternoon, as the protocol is established, the entrance to Paraguay was closed, not the exit ”.
