Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Aldi Satya Mahendra appears as the champion of the motorcycle race Supersport 300 or WorldSSP300 race 2 series Czech Republic held at Autodrom Most Circuit, Sunday (30/7).
Aldi finished first in the race on the wet track. The runner who defended Team BrCorse overtook Jose Manuel Osuna Saez with a time difference of 0.169 seconds.
Not only won, Aldi, who has the status of a wild card in the Czech race, also recorded the best time to complete a round with 1 minute 58.987 seconds. The time record was made by Aldi on the last lap.
Race 2 of the Czech series is delayed due to rain during the warm-up lap. Aldi looked very aggressive on the track which was rained from the start. Actually there were other Indonesian racers who also tried to be faster from the start, it’s just that Galang Hendra experienced technical problems so he had to enter the pits.
In succeeding to become the WorldSSP300 race series champion, Aldi followed in the footsteps of Galang Hendra who once won the series title in the 2017 WorldSSP300 race at the Jerez Circuit.
This is not the only time Aldi has won points. The 17-year-old racer from Bantul already scored points in the WorldSSP300 race last season when he finished seventh and eighth at the Catalunya race.
Meanwhile, other Indonesian racers who also participated in this class in the previous season were Muhammad Farozi, Imanuel Putra Pratna, Ali Adriansyah Rusmiputro.
The WorldSSP300 race event also featured female racer Ana Carrasco who now competes in the Moto3 event.
