"Black-ish" star Anthony Anderson is currently under criminal investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to The Blast, Anderson allegedly assaulted a woman last year after an event that she took charge of for the actor. The Blast cited sources familiar with the situation, who said that the woman met Anderson a second time after the event to discuss future business opportunities with the actor when the aggression took place. She then filed a police report with the LAPD Hollywood Division
The LAPD confirmed to Variety that a criminal investigation was under way, but had no additional information at the time and could not not reveal the nature of the investigation
