The Epic Store is giving away games again. “Faeria” and “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate” are currently available free of charge in the Epic Games Launcher.
“Faeria” is a fantastic, magical online card game for the PC and is easy and quick to play when you get started. But it quickly goes deep and reveals an incredible strategic potential. One of the spiritual fathers is “Magic: The Gathering”, but there are also influences from “The Settlers of Catan”.
“Faeria” shows itself graphically at its best, the mystical beings and the imaginative worlds have been beautifully implemented. There is no need to hide when it comes to music either, the sound fits perfectly with an adventurous card game and at the same time knows how to remain discreetly in the background. You notice the work that is in “Faeria”.
In “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate” we write the year 1868. The evil Templar Crawford Starrick, as Grand Master, controls London, which at this time can also be equated with world domination. The Templars rule the entire industry and suppress the working class at every nook and corner. The twins Jacob and Evie Frye are chosen by fate to change these circumstances. The two young assassins are cheeky, always good for a good saying and always take each other on the shovel.
“Assassin’s Creed” gaming is a bit like cycling: you just don’t forget it and for a while it’s really fun. Right from the first mission you are fully familiar with the controls and immediately climb again and are greedy for the next secret attack. Apart from a few minor changes, the controls haven’t changed much and that’s a good thing. Graphically, Syndicate is an absolute eye-catcher. The outer districts are somewhat reminiscent of Paris from “Unity”, but the sights are implemented extremely detailed.
