Do you like racing games? And what about playing them with special controls that simulate the experience of driving a car at full speed? If you answered yes to both questions, Aston Martin thinks you have what you are looking for: a simulator of virtual races with a price of no less than 74,000 dollars.
It is a luxury play station with a design inspired, of course, by Aston Martin cars, as if it were a kind of miniature car, full of curves and lines that seem to come out of a supercar of hundreds of thousands of Dollars. Its name is Aston Martin AMR-C01, and according to the company, it is “the experience of lujo definal for eSports ”.
The SimRacing station has carbon fiber parts and features a saddle designed to mimic the positions and appearance of the interior of your race car, the Aston Martin Valkyrie.
As can be seen from the ad images, a huge curved screen offers a peripheral view of the virtual race track, and the steering wheel features a similar design to professional racing cars, even with its own screen. Regarding the software, the British company Curv Racing Simulators and Aston Martin have worked together to create the technology that powers the simulator as such. Of course, until now it is unknown if it will be compatible with virtual reality glasses.
The Aston Martin AMR-C01 will not only be expensive, but also in limited production. The company says it will only sell 150 units of the racing simulator, and will begin delivering them to their new owners later this year.[[Aston Martin via Engadget]
