2,260,800 doses of Sinovac vaccines arrived

On the morning of this Monday, a plane arrived in the country with a cargo of 2,260,800 additional doses of Sinovac against covid-19. They were acquired through the Covax mechanism.

This amount is added to the 2’027.400 doses from the AstraZeneca laboratory that were received on Sunday afternoon and will be used to increase vaccination rates.

The director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency, Víctor Muñoz, reported that doses of Pfizer, AstraZeneca and now Sinovac have been received.

“This leaves us with more than 6.6 million doses received in just two weeks of the month of October, “he said.

According to the National Government, a total of 44’350.661 and with at least one dose there are already 28,477,535 people, 81.3 percent of the goal set for this year.
