Atletico Madrid vs Chelsea: The Blues won thin


Chelsea took home an important win from Atletico Madrid headquarters. The Blues won 1-0 through Olivier Giroud’s goal.

In the match that was held at Arena Nationala, Bucharest, Wednesday (24/2/2021) in the morning WIB, Atletico, who acted as the host, had difficulty developing the game. They only controlled 37 percent ball possession and made six attempts without a single one being on goal.

This goal was reviewed by VAR for two minutes, because Giroud was suspected of being offside but still passed. Because, before Giroud scored, the ball actually hit Mario Hermoso’s leg.

Atletico tried to get back at the goal, but they still struggled to make threats against Mendy. Still without a shot on target until 90 minutes of the match was over.

As a result, Chelsea took home a 1-0 victory.
