After falling during Monday’s training on the home slope, she headed to the hospital. Slovak star skier Petra Vlhová experienced a complication in the form of a facial injury during training in Jasná. She was bleeding and taken for treatment, but her scars are not serious.
“Petra fell, her lip was broken, her nose was bleeding a little,” her brother and team member Boris Vlha told sportnet.sme.sk. “They didn’t sew anything on her, we continue to train normally,” he added.
After the World Championships in Cortina, where she won two silver medals, the Slovak skier returned home briefly to train in Jasná, where the World Cup races will take place at the beginning of March. Before that, she should complete three races this week in the Italian resort of Val di Fassa, where she is the first woman in the overall standings of the World Championships.
He has 989 points on his account. It is chased by two Swiss women – the second Lara Gutová-Behrami loses only 42 points and is in great shape, the third is Michelle Gisin with 807 points.
Eleven individual races in four centers remain in the series’ program this season.
