The 73-year-old Belarusian Nina Baginskaja has never been afraid – she is not afraid today either. For years the courageous pensioner has been fighting against the regime in Belarus, fighting for freedom.
The aim of Baginskaya: Liberate the Belarusian people from the regime. Tens of thousands follow their example. According to a Eurovision report, Baginskaya has fought numerous battles. The last one this weekend.
For example, she tore the mask off a security guy’s head during the riot on the weekend. She wants to know who is fighting for this regime. Protesters stand next door and shout “Nina! Nina! Nina! ”They cheer. The pensioner is not afraid of beatings or sanctions.
Baginskaya fights with its own weapons: flags, posters, determination, dignity. Since the beginning of the protest weeks she has been at the forefront against the “paranoid”, as she calls the head of state Alexander Lukashenko. In your opinion, this will not go by itself.
Already active in the past
Baginskaya’s activities, however, did not go unpunished. In the meantime, around half of her pension has been cut. She had to live to be 120 years old to pay off the debt, she told the Belarusian edition of Komsomolskaya Pravda. It was around 15,000 euros when she stopped counting.
She is not just now campaigning for the population and against the regime. She has been politically active in the past. Among other things, she participated in the Belarusian Popular Front. This was founded in 1988 and worked to come to terms with the crimes of Josef Stalin (1878–1953).
