The social network said that is also preparing the transfer of other accounts as @whitehouse, @VP, @FLOTUS, that is, the accounts of the White House, the vice president and the first lady, respectively.
“Twitter is actively preparing to support the transition of the White House institutional Twitter accounts on (inauguration day) January 20, 2021,” said social network spokesman Nick Pacilio in an email to that medium. .
“As we did in the transition in 2017, this process is being done in close consultation with the National Archives and Government Documents,” he added.
Throughout his term, the president has mostly used his personal Twitter account, @realDonaldTrump, which he will maintain after leaving office.
