Firefighters were called for a general conflagration of the building. The AJM Peugeot garage, located along the road from Bavay to Frameries, was indeed the victim of a big fire.
A pumper, a tank and a self-ladder from the Mons barracks went to the scene. Reinforcements from Saint-Ghislain (a pumper) and Dour (a tank) were also called.
By 8:20 p.m., the fire was brought under control. Firefighters were inspecting the debris. The reinforcements from the barracks of Dour and Saint-Ghislain were finally sent back.
