MATA INDONESIA, NEW YORK – Photographs with a fairly sharp resolution of galaxies in outer space have been successfully captured by astronomers. Including Black Hole.
The photos are in high resolution. The photos managed to reveal the workings of the galaxy that has never been revealed in detail. Not only that, this photo can provide an understanding of the role of black holes in the formation of stars, planets and their formation. The high-resolution photo was born from radio waves.
Researchers think the photo will change our perspective on how galaxies evolve. Researchers study about radio waves from astronomical objects in the form of light. The reason is because it makes it possible to see things that are blocked by layers of the Earth’s atmosphere or dust and gas in other galaxies.
Space is a dark place. However, if you look at the radio waves emitted, many areas of space emit bright light. This then prompts astronomers to look further into regions where stars can form or to the center of galaxies.
The research team succeeded in increasing the resolution of the radio image by connecting more than 70,000 small, one-meter-high antennas spread across nine European countries. It is not easy to combine radio signals with thousands of existing antennas.
The researchers have taken about 6 years to collect the signal from each antenna, convert the signal in digital form, and send it to the central processor. After that, all the data that has been captured by radio waves are combined into interesting pictures, both scientifically and interestingly to look at.

The cause of this emission is due to the supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy, the object with the strongest gravity, even light cannot escape its attraction. The black hole pulls matter into it, this pull creates a force around it and causes the material to spit out far into space.
Previously, the researchers observed the emission coming out of the black hole. Astronomers believe that the image represents a period of relative inactivity for the black hole so that less matter is emitting than usual. Therefore, the image shows researchers the “sleep cycle” of black holes.
Then there is a picture that shows how two galaxies collide with each other. The bright spot on the left is a picture of a stellar explosion that created a galactic wind blowing dust and gas.
The light from the galaxy originated when the universe was 2.6 billion years old. Above and below it are jets of material escaping from the black hole.
At first, it was difficult to study the formation of a galaxy. However, this time for the first time, astronomers, saw one of the structures on radio waves. These radio waves play an important role in informing how black holes interact with surrounding material.
