Brussels: metro line 5 still partially stopped

Lhe train immobilized in the Pétillon station on line 5 of the Brussels metro has been repaired but traffic will remain interrupted while the technical teams assess any damage, said Stib on Monday afternoon. Metrobuses take passengers between Mérode and Hermann-Debroux.

A metro train hit the platform at Pétillon station on Monday morning because of a flood that caused the tracks to shift. Subway traffic on line 5 has been interrupted. At the beginning of the afternoon, the train had been repaired and the technical teams were on site to assess the damage before the resumption of traffic. This operation could take some time, the Stib did not wish to advance on an hour of resumption of traffic.
