Arjen Robben will most likely return to the match selection of Fc Groningen. The 36-year-old captain fell in the Eredivisie out with a groin injury, but he is now training again with the selection of Danny Buijs.
The Groningen trainer is hopeful that Robben can make minutes against FC Utrecht, while also Gabriel Gudmundsson in Sam Schreck return after injury. “If they get through the final practice well tomorrow and all signals are green, then they will be in the selection. It seems that way”, Buijs told FOX Sports. “They are obviously not fit enough to play ninety minutes.”

The corona virus may still throw a spanner in the works for the northerners. This week it was announced that four infections have been detected, including assistant trainer Adrie Poldervaart and reserve keeper Jan Boer. Groningen will know tomorrow whether more people have been infected. “We are a bit anxious about what will come out on Saturday”, says Buijs.
FC Groningen is also wary of Utrecht at full strength, says Buijs. “FC Utrecht has many experienced guys and also a lot of quality. Just look at our ex-players Django Warmerdam and Mimoun Mahi. We would have loved to still have them here”, he told Voetbal International.
