The UK Labor Court has ruled that bald men can be considered sexual harassment. The court also observed that associating a person with his or her baldness in the workplace was discriminatory. Tony Finn, an electrician, approached the court against the company he worked for.
Finn worked for 24 years at the British Bang Company in West Yorkshire. But in May 2021, the company fired him. Finn approached the court and complained that he had been sexually abused. Factory supervisor Jamie King was fired because he was bald. This was in July 2019. When there was an argument, the words sexual and insult were used. Finn told the court that this caused great mental distress.
A three-member court, headed by Jonathan Brain, ruled that abusing someone’s fitness would put a lot of pressure on him. The court’s observation was comparable to the sexual harassment of women in the workplace.
