The history of this archipelago of 500,000 inhabitants located 500 km west of Senegal is punctuated by deadly famines due to the drought.

Today, even if the country imports 80% of its food, more than half of Cape Verdeans live on agriculture. The sustainable management of the smallest drop of water is a national knowledge that can inspire many countries.
