Anatoly Chubais, the president’s special representative for relations with international organizations, said that shortly before his departure from the post of head of Rusnano, he met with President Vladimir Putin. About this he stated in the RTVI program “Results of the Year – 2020”.
“I had a conversation with Vladimir Vladimirovich, although all the media danced about the fact that he did not meet with Chubais and that the president did not give his name. Why did he have to say my name if he is with another person? ” – said Chubais. He was referring to Putin’s video-link conversation with the new head of Rusnano, Sergei Kulikov, during which Putin did not mention the ex-head of Rusnano by name.
According to him, Putin himself invited him to become his special representative. At the same time, Chubais asked that he not formally be a civil servant and not become an assistant to the president. “As a rule, a special representative is an assistant. But in my case, this did not happen. And I’m glad of that. This is what I asked the president for, yes. And my request was heard. Flasher, ksiva, office, secretary – the main duty set. No, there will be no flashing lights for sure. I am not a civil servant, an employee of the presidential administration, “Chubais explained.
