A real opportunity to restart for the Italian agri-food sector: an important role will be played this year by the traditional Cibus fair in Parma, which will see the participation of 13 companies from Cremona. The appointment is from Tuesday 31 August to Friday 3 September.
Among the Cremonese in the field is the Zucchi oil mill, which this year has chosen to create a stand oriented towards sustainability: the whole structure is in fact made with certified wood “Pefc Vaia 2018 solidarity chain”, coming from crashes caused by the storm Vaia, which in 2018 affected the alpine forests of the North West (Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Lombardy).
Many other companies in the area are also at the forefront: starting with the Casalasco del Pomodoro Consortium, leader in the sector, not to mention one of the most famous cheese companies in Italy, Auricchio. Also present at one of the most famous Cremonese confectionery, Rivoltini, the Galletti vinegar factory and the Santini salami factory. The milk sector could not be missing, with the PLAC.
There is also space for flours and derivatives, as well as bakery products, increasingly attentive to environmental and organic sustainability: these are the productions proposed by Freeg, Martino Rossi, or even by AstraBio, specialized in organic pasta. Finally, among the companies present, the Mad One craft brewery, the start-up specialized in the packaging of cooked foods Boottega and Top Single Service, which is dedicated to the production of sauces and condiments. A real journey through the new products that will drive the recovery of domestic consumption but also of international exports.
