Colombia will receive 20 million doses in the next week


The director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency of the Republic (Dapre), Victor Munoz, announced that in the next few days they will arrive in Colombia 20 million doses of vaccines against covid-19 obtained through direct negotiation with laboratories, donations and the Covax mechanism.

“2 donations of Pfizer (7 million doses), which will arrive in the next 8 days, which will be concentrated in third doses. 2,300,000 missing from the Covax mechanism, which will be of Sinovac, and we have closed a negotiation with Modern for 10 million doses. With those we have enough vaccination doses for reinforcements, for second dose vaccination schemes”, explained Muñoz in dialogue with ‘Blu radio’.

Likewise, the official stated that so far 78.2% of the population has received a single dose of the covid-19 vaccine, and 60.3% have the complete scheme.
