PR CIREBON – Argentina will tighten lockdown measures related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This step was taken by Argentina to combat the second wave of Covid-19 which it feared would get worse.
Reported Cirebon.Pikiran-Rakyat.com from Reuters, President Alberto Fernandez on Thursday 20 May 2021 underlined concern as daily cases and Covid-19 deaths had been breaking records over the past week.

The strict Covid-19 chain-breaking measures will take effect on Saturday 22 May 2021 and last until 31 May 2021.
The policies include the closure of schools and non-essential trafficking and a ban on social, religious and sporting events in the country of 45 million people.
“We are experiencing the worst moments since the pandemic began,” said President Alberto Fernandez.

“Today is like never before, we all have to take care of ourselves to avoid all the losses we can,” he continued.
