Coronavirus: Sweden toughens the tone

LSweden, the country which has not confined, is increasing the restrictions. Prime Minister Stefan Löfven this week held no less than three press conferences to announce a new ban on visits to retirement homes, a national vaccination plan, and above all, from November 24, the limitation of public events to eight people. An unprecedented measure that concerns all events requiring police authorization such as shows, conferences, sports competitions … In other words, they are condemned to cancellation for at least four weeks. Tables in restaurants, which are always open, are also limited to eight. Another measure announced last week and which will come into force this Friday: the ban on the sale of alcohol after 10 p.m. And this time it is not a question of simple recommendations as they are liked in Sweden: any violator is exposed to a heavy fine, or to a prison sentence which can go up to six months.
