The US authorities reported on Monday another four deaths of people infected with the new coronavirus, bringing the death toll in the country due to the virus to 26, mostly in the state of Washington.
Washington state health officials reported the deaths of three more people from coronavirus, all of them residents of a nursing home in the Seattle area that had been the focus of COVID-19.
The state of Washington has now reached at least 22 deaths linked to the new coronavirus. Authorities said 19 of them are related to the Life Care Center in Kirkland.
In California, officials reported the second death in the state by COVID-19 after a woman over 60 years of age living in Santa Clara County died Monday.
The other two deaths in the United States related to the virus happened in Florida.
The virus has infected at least 600 people in the United States.
