“We have been informed that an employee has come into contact with someone who has tested positive for the virus. This individual is in solitary confinement at home,” said Perron.
Capital Power currently occupies four floors inside the tower.
Perron said the company has since contacted the tower’s property management company and that their offices have been disinfected. Employees will be notified when they can return to work.
“Capital Power is committed to providing a safe, healthy and supportive working environment. The well-being of our employees and their families is our top priority, “said Perron.
BioWare employees, who also work in Epcor Tower, started working from home on Friday after taking precautions from their owner, Electronic Arts.
Epcor Tower is home to several companies and government agencies including Buco Pizzeria, the federal department of justice and Little Scholars Child Care.
