The government is easing the restrictions in stores announced yesterday evening. It resigns from draconian restrictions on the number of customers in super and hypermarkets. The limits for people in shops in the red zones will depend – just like in spring – on the area, said government spokesman Piotr Müller.
“The limits for people in shops in the red zones will depend, like in spring, on the surface area. For stores with an area of up to 100 sq m – 5 people at the cash register, for stores over 100 sq m – 1 person per 15 sq m.“- the government spokesman wrote on Twitter.
What does it change? As the RMF FM journalist Krzysztof Berenda explains, for example more people will enter the largest clothing storeswhere there is only one cash register and the area is huge. More people will also enter hypermarkets. Exactly 2 times more than if the rule announced yesterday by the prime minister was in force.
The new rules are to apply from midnight today – in cities with red zones.
The hours for seniors have been in force since yesterday. From 10.00 to 12.00, only people over 60 can do shopping in the stores.
Yesterday the record for the number of people infected with the coronavirus in Poland was broken – the health ministry informed about 8099 new cases.
Due to the rapidly increasing number of infections, the restrictions related to the epidemic have been tightened. From tomorrow, 11 voivodship cities and 152 poviats will be in the red zone. The rest of the country is in the yellow zone. Both will have new restrictions.
As for the yellow zone, gastronomic activities will be possible between 6-21. Outside of these hours, it will only be possible to serve meals to take away.
Travel by public transport will be limited to 50%. seats or up to 30 percent. the number of all places.
From October 19, in the yellow zone, the number of people participating in special events, such as weddings or consoles will be limited. As reported by the Government Information Center, it will be up to 20 people; no dancing fun.
In addition, assemblies are limited to 25 people.
Higher and secondary schools are switching to hybrid education.
Sports events will take place without an audience. The activities of swimming pools, aquaparks and gyms are suspended.
