A 19-year-old southeastern Washington man was shot dead Saturday night as part of the 136th year homicide in the city, authorities said on Sunday. Police found the victim, Trayvon Wood, in block 4400 Douglas Street NW around 17:17, police said in a statement. They stated that Wood, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, had been declared dead at the hospital. "A second victim asked to be treated in a hospital in the area for a non-fatal gunshot wound," the statement said. The shooting remained under investigation Sunday. Last year, the district recorded 94 homicides. The number of corps this year exceeded this number several weeks ago. .
