Actor Dave Bautista defended James Gunn following Disney's decision to dismiss the director
Controversial tweets that Gunn had made a few years ago recently resurfaced.
Friday, July 20, Alan Horn, president of Walt Disney Studios, said in a statement that Gunn had been fired because the posts were "indefensible."
Added: "Offensive attitudes and statements found on James' Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with the values of our studio, and we have broken our business relationship with him."
Gunn, who wrote and directed the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies, received criticism after a series of controversial posts on social media on September 11th, rape and pedophilia resurfaced.
However, today (July 21), Bautist One has taken on social media to defend the director by saying that he is "not in agreement" with what arrived.
On Twitter, Bautista wrote: "I will have more to say but at the moment all I will say is: @JamesGunn is one of the most affectionate people, the most kind and most amiable I have ever met.
He is sweet and kind and cares deeply about people and animals.He made mistakes.We have all.I am not d & # 39; agree with what happens to him. "
Gunn responded to the tweets by saying that he had "developed as a person" since the first "
