Dead Space rises from the dead

Despite the critical acclaim, the Dead Space series was never quite a financial success. Publisher Electronic Arts therefore decided to put the franchise on ice after three games and some spin-offs. But yesterday we got another sign of life.

A teaser was shown in EA PLAY, revealing that a full remake of the first part is in the works. It will come exclusively to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, allowing one to make the most of that hardware to make the best possible game that, hopefully, takes Dead Space to the next level in Isaac Clarke’s first adventure to invent. where his partner is.

“Dead Space made a huge impact on the survival horror genre when the franchise was released 12 years ago, and I came to Motive primarily as a fan to work specifically on this game,” said Phillippe Ducharme, Dead Space Senior Producer. “We have a passionate team at Motive who see this remake as a declaration of love to the franchise. Everyone on the team was excited about the return to the original and the opportunity we got to do everything on next-gen consoles. As we modernized the game, we got in touch with dedicated fans and invited them to give us feedback from the early stages of production so we can deliver a game that fans can enjoy and new players can enjoy too.”
