Harry Kane debut with the Tottenham first team on August 25, 2011 ago. He did not immediately gain trust and was loaned out to Millwall, Norwich City and Leicester City.
It wasn’t until 2014/2015 that the Arsenal-educated striker had his first full season with Tottenham. Kane scored 31 goals that season and has been consistently in the net ever since.
Kane has practically been Tottenham’s goal machine to date. Since the 2014/2015 season, he has never failed to hit 20 goals per season. Of a total of 188 goals during his career with Tottenham, 183 of them were made in that period.
Unfortunately, those goals weren’t enough to lead him to win trophies. His best achievements are being runners-up for the 2014/2015 English League Cup and 2018/2019 Champions League.
Kane was rumored to be leaving last year, following the emergence of ‘signals’ opening up to offers from other clubs. But in the end he survived and his contract would only expire in 2024.
Now 27 years old, entering the golden age of footballers, there is a big question mark for Kane. Until when do you feel at home at Tottenham, which is not competitive?
“I’m probably Harry Kane’s biggest fan after his mum and dad. I looked at him and thought ‘What are you going to win at Tottenham?’ He is one of the best at scoring goals, “said former Arsenal player Paul Merson in his column on Sky Sports.
“But he scores 30 goals per season and doesn’t get a chance to win trophies so what’s the point in being there?” he added.
Kane appeared in Tottenham’s inaugural match this season against Everton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Sunday (9/13/2020) yesterday in the event Premier League. He and his colleagues had to accept starting the season with a 0-1 defeat.
