Tampa Bay Buccaneer Tampa receiver DeSan Jackson is reported to have asked to be traded, asking the team not to give.
The news, reported by Ian Rapoport of the NFL, indicates that the NFL's trading deadline is imminent at 4 pm. AND Tuesday.
Jackson has seen its production drop since Jameis Winston replaced Ryan Fitzpatrick, after Winston's return from his three-game suspension early in the season. With Fitzpatrick, he caught nine passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns. In total, he has 23 assists for 526 yards. He only touched a touchdown since the second week, he failed to click with Winston.
Jackson will earn $ 11 million this year and must receive $ 10 million unsecured next year. The Bucs follow the Saints and Panthers in the AFC South, but at 3-3, they are not ready to throw the sponge with a receiver like Jackson.
Other teams have already shown their willingness to make things happen. The New York Giants, with one win, traded Eli Apple (to the Saints of New Orleans) and Damon "Snacks" Harrison (to the Detroit Lions). Cleveland exchanged offensive midfielder Carlos Hyde in Jacksonville and Oakland sent wide receiver Amari Cooper to Dallas.
