Djokovic qualifies for the last four ATP Finals at the expense of Zverev

In the decisive tiebreak Djokovic lost the first two points, but the number one in the world straightened his back and cashed in his first match point at 6-4. In the last match in the group, Medvedev defeated Argentinian Diego Schwartzman 6-3, 6-3.

To Thiem

In the semi-finals, Djokovic will meet Dominic Thiem on Saturday and will meet Rafael Nadal Medvedev.

“I played against him last year”, Djokovic reminisced about the tournament that went badly for him in 2019. He then lost to Thiem.

“It became 7-6 in the third set, it was an exciting game. Hopefully it will be a great game again, but with a different outcome.”

When he wins the prestigious tournament, Djokovic can come up with Roger Federer, who still has the record to his name with six titles.
