€ 1,000 million fine for five banks for having made a currency card

Online chats with names such as Trio Banana Split and Two and a half men served five international banks to manipulate the world's largest currency market. The European Commission has sanctioned with 1,068 million euros five financial entities for having created a cartel in the international currency market. Its members were Barclays, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Citigroup, JP Morgan and the Japanese bank MUFG in two separate infringement processes.
