The Prosecutor’s Office managed to have three men of Ecuadorian nationality face trial for the alleged trafficking of a million-dollar drug shipment detected on the Salvadoran coasts, in the year 2022.

Prosecutors from the Specialized Unit for Drug Trafficking Crimes have strengthened the process against Julio César Delgado Molina, Uber David Alay Reyes and Jorge Luis Mero Pincay, and in a preliminary hearing held in the Third Investigating Court they managed to prove their guilt in the transfer of the drug, for which the judge established that they must face the public hearing stage, reported the Prosecutor’s Office.

The three foreigners were detained on November 29, 2022, by elements of the Naval Force 470 nautical miles south of Punta Remedios de Acajutla, Sonsonate.

In the boat where they were driving, 90 packages were found containing 3,174 kilos of cocaine and when doing the field test it was established that it was pure cocaine, whose value in the commercial market is $79 million 794 thousand 360 dollars.
