An explosion targeting a tourist bus in Egypt left at least 17 injured on Sunday. The events took place near the Great Egyptian Museum, near the Pyramids of Giza, a suburb of Cairo.
The majority of the victims are tourists from Egypt and South Africa, according to the authorities. A witness, Mohamed El-Mandouh, told the Reuters news agency that he had heard a "very loud explosion" while sitting near the site of the blast.

Last December, a Vietnamese tourist bus was targeted by a bomb attack, already near the pyramids of Giza. Three had been killed, just like their guide. Twelve people were injured.
