Dem English soccer player Kyle Walker faces a severe penalty from his Manchester City club after a savage violation of exit restrictions. According to a report by the tabloid Sun, the defender is said to have invited two prostitutes to her home with a friend last Tuesday evening. The football professional has therefore tried in vain to keep his identity secret. Walker has now apologized for his behavior.
Particularly unfortunate: the women, whose services he had cost £ 2,200 (€ 2,500), left his apartment shortly before Wednesday morning. The same day, Walker on social media called on his fans to follow the government’s instructions on social distancing and to stay at home.
“Footballers are role models worldwide,” a city spokesman is quoted in the English media. Walker countered the incredible efforts of the club and its players, as well as other employees in the fight against the corona pandemic. “We are disappointed to hear about these allegations, take note of Kyle’s quick response and apology, and initiate an internal disciplinary process.”
Walker apologized to his family, friends, the club, its fans and the public “for letting them hang out.” The Sun had also documented his misconduct extensively with pictures and statements by one of the two prostitutes.
