The Erasmus Bridge in Rotterdam is open again for pedestrians, cyclists and car traffic. On Monday, a metal overhead line of the tram track snapped. As a result, the bridge could not be used for over 24 hours.
Trams 23 and 25 of the RET are still unable to use the bridge.
Travelers are advised on the website of the RIGHT to see how they can make a detour. They do have to take into account extra travel time.
The work to repair the damage on the bridge went faster than planned. At first, the municipality feared that the bridge would be impassable for a few days.
The problem on the Erasmus Bridge would have arisen when the bridge had opened and then closed again. The incident is still under investigation.
