EU supports the Netherlands: Moscow must continue to negotiate MH17

All Member States of the European Union support the Netherlands in the MH17 case. Prime Minister Rutte said this after the two-day EU summit in Brussels. According to Rutte, the EU is calling on Moscow to resume talks about liability for the downing of flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine.

Yesterday, Russia announced that it no longer wants to continue with Australia and the Netherlands negotiate. The Kremlin gave the reason that the Netherlands has Russia sued before the European Court of Human Rights. In a response, Foreign Minister Blok called on the Russian ambassador.

Prime Minister Rutte said at the EU summit yesterday that he would like to continue the negotiations.
