Ferjani Sassi, the football team player in Zamalek, spoke about his compatriot Ali Maaloul, the club’s left back Ahly And face him in the final match of the African Champions League.
Al-Ahly is scheduled to meet with Zamalek On November 27, in the final match of the African Champions League, at Cairo International Stadium.
Ferjani Sassi said in televised statements on BBC Sport: “Ali Maaloul is loved in Egypt, and I made a name for me in Egypt and the Egyptian fans loved me alongside the Zamalek fans.”
He added, “I played with Ali Maaloul for a while in Sfaxien and the Tunisian team, and the African Champions League final will be difficult and all Arab countries will follow it and it will not be easy. I hope to win it with Zamalek.”
He explained, “This is the first final in the African Champions League for me, and for Zamalek after a long time since 2002, and the return match against Moroccan Raja was a challenge for me because I went through a difficult period.”
And he added: “I did everything to be present with Zamalek in Morocco in front of Raja, but in the return match I participated, scored a goal and made another.”
And he added, “When a professional player plays in other countries, he must make the addition, and the African Champions League final is a dream for me and the fans of Zamalek, God willing, we will succeed in the match.”
He concluded: “When I was with the Tunisian national team in the African nations last year, I received encouragement from the Zamalek fans, and if Ma’loul was with us, Al-Ahly fans would support us.”
