MILAN – Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is calling on Amazon and Shell Oil Company executives, who have previous experience in the automotive industry, to fill its ranks.
Chief Executive Officer Mike Manley said in a letter to employees Thursday that Mark Stewart would join FCA as director of North American operations at Amazon, "a company renowned for its culture. innovation and its obsession to offer incredible value to its customers ".
At Amazon, Stewart has led teams specializing in advanced robotics, artificial intelligence and automation methods. Previously, he was COO of automotive components supplier ZF TRW.
Niel Golightly has been appointed Global Communications Officer. He was most recently Vice President of External Relations at Shell in North and South America, focusing on reputation, brand and stakeholder engagement beyond communication strategies. He previously held positions at Ford Motor Company.
