Gary Lineker trolled Arsenal with a brilliant tweet about Liverpool’s Invincibles finale

Gary Lineker was quickly out of the sign after the end of the Liverpool game to match the 2003/04 Arsenal Invincibles season.

Liverpool’s undefeated game finally ended on Saturday night in one of the most unlikely places, as Watford, 19th place, scored his first win since the first of the year.

Two goals from Ismaila Sarr and another from captain Watford Troy Deeney scored a memorable 3-0 victory for Nigel Pearson’s team, who left the relegation zone for goal difference thanks to the win.

The Reds have not performed well since the end of the winter break, with a defeat against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, hampered by close victories over the relegated fighters Norwich and West Ham.

The victory for Watford confirms the success of Arsenal as the only team ever unbeaten in the Premier League, despite Liverpool having already won more games this season than the Gunners in the historical year.

Jurgen Klopp’s side had won 26 out of 27 games ahead of the game against Watford, with a draw against Manchester United, the only game that didn’t lead to three points for Liverpool.

And although Arsenal fans have been ready to celebrate their unbeaten record for another season, Gary Lineker has had his message on how well the Gunners are doing.

Arsenal are currently in tenth place at the table after Saturday’s Premier League group stage and will not be back in action in the league until next Saturday, with a fifth round of the FA Cup against Portsmouth on Monday.

They currently follow Manchester United’s fifth place (which plays Sunday afternoon) by four points, and are four more behind Chelsea’s fourth place.
