Oppo is ready to unveil the sequel to his legendary Find X pop-up at a launch event in London, but you can stream everything from the comfort of your own home.
Despite many other companies canceling launches due to coronavirus concerns, Oppo is still empowering with the launch of its first 2020 flagships. We won’t even see a smartphone. In addition, the Chinese company will announce its first smartwatch.
There is a lot of interest in the Find X2 but the Oppo Smartwatch may be of particular interest to Wear OS fans. While we will have to wait until the launch event itself, there have been suggestions that Wear OS could run, making it much more interesting than it could have been without. However, we’re only speculating at this stage, so it’s unclear if it will actually run Google’s smartwatch operating system or something developed internally.
From the leaked and even images some directed by Oppo, the smartwatch will definitely have more of a passing similarity with the Apple Watch. As for Find X2, it’s set to be equipped with a 120Hz “3K” display – which is questionable – higher-level chipsets, lots of RAM and potentially a camera configuration heck. We are excited to see what it brings to the table.
The biggest problem for some of you who will read this will undoubtedly be the early / late start time, as the Oppo Find X2 launch livestream will begin at 9.30 GMT – 4.30 ET / 1am PT. If that hasn’t put you off, the whole event is streamed on YouTube, via the link or below:
