Huawei confirms deployment of EMUI 11 on 14 smartphones

Huawei will offer EMUI 11 on 14 smartphones.

Huawei Switzerland this week confirmed the deployment of its EMUI 11 software overlay on 14 of its smartphones. For its part, Oppo Switzerland told us that ColorOS 11 should arrive between late December and early January 2021 …

Announced at its global launch on October 22, EMUI 11 brings a series of new software features, improvements in privacy and security, as well as a smoother and more intuitive user experience to make Huawei smartphones faster.

Our first impressions

Recall that we have first tested EMUI 11, based on Android 10, a few weeks ago. We once again noted Huawei’s mastery of Android, which notably offers an “Always on display” mode, which is always original, as illustrated by the Mate 40 Pro, which we have started to use.

The deployment will take place in two phases. The first will include the Huawei P40, Huawei P40 Pro, Huawei P40 Pro + and Huawei Mate 30 Pro, which will receive the update by mid-December 2020. All other devices will be upgraded by March 2021. The update will be carried out by Huawei Over-the-Air (HOTA).

The complete list of devices

Huawei P40, Huawei P40 Pro, Huawei P40 Pro+, Huawei Mate 30 Pro, Huawei Mate Xs, Huawei P30, Huawei P30 Pro, Huawei P30 Pro New Edition, Huawei Mate 20 X, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, Huawei Mate 20, Porsche Design Huawei Mate20 RS, Huawei Mate 20 X 5G, Huawei nova 5T.

On the Oppo side, we will also be offering a big update based on Android 11. Fans will have to wait, however, because ColorOS 11 should not arrive in Switzerland before the very end of December, see the beginning of 2021. TheOppo Find X2 Pro should be the first to benefit before the Renault 4 5 G. We will talk about it again…
